What is a Panchakarma treatment?
Panchakarma translates to five actions and refers to five core methods designed to rid the body of toxins and waste. These include, among others, nasal cleansing and specific enemas. The treatment strengthens the immune system and can help alleviate issues such as sleep disorders.
When do you recommend a Panchakarma treatment?
Panchakarma is used preventively for regeneration and recovery, but it can also target specific health concerns. Traditionally, it’s recommended for chronic neurovegetative or gynecological conditions, as well as cardiovascular diseases. It’s also effective in cases of stress and burnout.
How much time should you set aside?
A Panchakarma treatment should last at least ten days to allow for basic detox and regeneration processes. Ideally, two to three weeks are recommended, as a longer stay allows for deeper cleansing and more lasting recovery.
Do you need to prepare?
Yes — during the pre-treatment phase, a light diet is recommended, along with drinking warm water regularly and maintaining a consistent daily routine.
